MILLA'S TRAVEL DIARIES
England
This was my first travel collection in quite a while and you can imagine the excitement of being on the road again. My team and I were like a bunch of crazy kids traipsing through England soaking up all her majesty and magic. Historic palaces, frenetic, crazy inner London life, the quiet countryside and everything in between. We spent hours drinking in every detail in every museum, gallery, antique fair, vintage show and architectural marvel you could think of. And, out of this beautiful, newfound freedom exploring England came The Mad Manor. It’s a fabulous collection dedicated to all the wild and wonderfully eccentric characters who’ve come to define English culture. In it, we see social worlds collide: Ethereal dames, posh aristocrats, counter-culture icons, rockers and royals all rubbing shoulders with one another. Polite tea parties and high society are gate-crashed by punk rockers and pearly Kings and Queens but somehow a scone with jam and cream serves as a peace treaty. You could say it’s a delightful explosion bubbling with colour, flavour, culture, sub-culture, music, art, innovation, tradition and freedom. Basically it is everything we love about England.
