Founded by Camilla Franks on the sands of Bondi Beach in 2004, CAMILLA is an Australian global print house. Every one piece swimsuit is a wearable artwork, with prints illustrated in-house through a layered process of drawing, painting and graphic design, so each print carries a trace of its origins.

At CAMILLA, sustainability is far more than a gesture. As a B Corp Certified business, it is woven throughout everything we do. Each one of our designer one pieces is crafted from ECONYL® — a premium Italian fibre regenerated from fishing nets and nylon waste recovered from oceans and landfill. Twice a year, Founder and Creative Director Camilla Franks travels the world for inspiration, immersing herself in the textiles, music, architecture, art, food and daily rhythm of a place. On her return, the in-house CAMILLA artisans translate that journey into hand-illustrated prints; a new collection of designer swimwear, alive with the rich colours, creativity and craftsmanship of where it began.

The choice of neckline is, at its heart, a decision about where the eye is drawn, and which aspect of the silhouette you want to lead. Each one frames you and the occasion uniquely — and asks something slightly different of what you put around it.

The v-neck one piece draws the eye down, expanding through the décolletage to lend the silhouette a longer line. The bare neckline creates space for statement jewellery, delicate gilded chains, or a silk scarf tied loosely at the shoulder. The CAMILLA sustainable one piece swimsuit is crafted from ECONYL®, a premium Italian textile regenerated from fishing nets and nylon waste recovered from oceans and landfill. The fibre performs like virgin nylon without the environmental impact. ECONYL® is infinitely recyclable, designed for a genuinely circular fashion economy.

Where we use synthetics, we choose regenerated or recycled wherever possible. The intention across the range is to create with high quality, sustainable fibres, considered construction, and less waste.

How to Style Designer One Piece Swimsuits

Of all the silhouettes in a vacation wardrobe, the swimsuit works the hardest.

Custom padding, ruching, and underwire invisibly structure the silhouette, so the soft, hand-embellished ECONYL® exterior is free to be expressive, decorative, and — depending on what's worn with it — something other than swimwear altogether.

With tailored trousers and a blazer, it morphs into a statement camisole. The embellishment and the cut take centre stage — the shapeshifting one piece doesn't need to announce what it is.
