New Lunar Year, New You
The Chinese lunar calendar is a repeated twelve year cycle, with each year represented by a different animal. Each of the twelve animals that follow one another in an established order and are repeated every twelve years once the cycle is complete - rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. Each animal has particular characteristics and people born in a certain year are believed to take on these characteristics.
2021 sees in the Year Of The Ox. This zodiac star is renowned for being honest, earnest and hardworking - never seeking praise, instead just getting on with it. Heartfelt and low key, the ox is calm, gentle and rarely angers. After the tumultuous year that was 2020, perhaps we could all take a few notes from the humble ox this year!
