A celebration of life. A celebration of love. A celebration of individuality. The CAMILLA team are proud to stand together in solidarity with our LGBTQIA+ community. Here's to a future of unity, joy, and of course - colour!

UNITED WE SHINE

The future for our rainbow family is brighter than it has ever been. But this doesn't mean there won't be challenges for us along the way - of particular concern both at home and abroad are the attacks on our Trans and Gender Diverse communities.

The 2022 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras theme was UNITED WE SHINE, signifying that when we band together, we shine brighter. It is a rallying call to stand up against hate and inequality, reminding us that when we rise as a collective, our message of love and inclusion is heard louder.

We only need to look at our history to be empowered by the strength and resilience of LGBTQI+ people - we have the power to create a more equitable society.

Now is the time for us to unite.
This is our time to shine.

MELBOURNE FASHION WEEK 2021

When Creative Director Deni Todorovic was invited to style the opening show of
Melbourne Fashion Week they said:⁠

"If this is our chance to celebrate life beyond the binary, the in between, those deemed too much or not enough by society - let's do it! This show is a love letter to our community -
the rebels, the shape shifters, the unicorns.”

With the day of the show having marked the start of Transgender Awareness Week, glorious trans model and star of our Wonder Woman collaboration campaign AJ Clementine, opened the show in rainbow print “Hyped Up Hippie." Models also included Young Australian of the Year winner and disability advocate Rhiannon Tracy, Black Lives Matter advocate and curve queen Milo Harthill and the beautiful Daila Melkis Tuna, Harmony Boucher, Geron Nord, Grace Gordon, Sandy Mcintyre, Mukisa, Armani Visser, Ezra Janetzki, Dechen, Lesley hunter, Chiara Dorward, Mitch Lawless and Mali Moore.

A celebration of humans in all their wondrous forms, we were honoured to open
the show and co-write this love letter. ⁠In the words of our dear friend Deni
"Cheers to you, your Romance & your Rebellion".

About The Progress Pride Flag
Each perfect colour of the rainbow reminds us of the beauty of every single individual. Red represents life; orange, healing; yellow, sunlight; green, nature; blue, harmony; purple, spirit. The Progress Pride flag has added hues of black, brown white, baby pink + pastel blue to include people of colour, the trans community, gender fluid kings + queens, those living with HIV/AIDs + all the beautiful souls we have lost to this.

We encourage our Camilla Tribe to wear rainbow in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community this Pride Month.
