In the back streets of Amsterdam, I feel the deep, magnetic pull of creativity; the heartbeat of fellow artisans. My steps quicken, my feet know the way. Over the canal and into the cobbled laneways of De Negen Straatjes, drawn by art galleries, flea markets and cafes. Storied streets once home to Daemen, Toorop and Lion Cachet. Each doorway reveals a cornucopia of treasures: vintage posters, gilded mirrors, Nieuwe Kunst graphics and blooming borders. An ever-changing artist’s playground of ideas.
